Trout Fishing

Bishop Creek Canyon offers some of the best fishing in the Eastern Sierra. The crystal clear waters are stocked by the Dept. of Fish & Game and businesses in the canyon pool together to get monster trout from Oregon and Idaho. South Lake and Lake Sabrina are renowned for their variety of Rainbow and Brown Trout.  Public launch ramps and boat rentals are available at both lakes.
With more than 25 miles of creek, fishing in the  canyon has been known to produce large trout ranging from 6 to 8 lbs. Between lures, worms, or flies, the trout are always biting. Backcountry lakes are spectacular to enjoy and are strictly catch and release. Drop by for tackle, bait and information on where to catch your stringer of beautiful trout!
